If you think only hippies can get away with wearing tie-dye, you’d be wrong! In the past year, tie-dye has burst back onto the catwalks around the world, so it’s inevitable that this fun fashion would trickle on down to kids clothing. And really, let’s be honest, little humans are the very best at wearing tie-dye in all its colourful glory. Here’s what we’re loving:
1. Baby harem pants
Because if you’re going to go down the tie-dye fashion route, it only makes sense you should do it in a glorious pair of harem pants. And how lovely are these particular pants – made from French linen using the traditional Japanese blue and white Shibori tie-dying method. Our only regret is that these don’t come in adult sizes too.
2. Pants-and-top combo
If you ever needed proof that tie-dye just makes things better, check out this too-gorgeous combo! Soft stretch cotton bell-bottoms teamed with a spunky little crop top that shows off just a smidge of baby midriff. Utter perfection.
3. Swirl baby sleepsuit
The rainbow swirl is a classic tie-dye go-to. And who says it should just stay on t-shirts? Babies can totally rock a super-bright sleepsuit, right? At the very least, you’ll never lose them in the dark!
4. Twirly dress
Gotta love a pretty dress that encourages plenty of twirling! And the gentle wave and pastel palette of this tie-dyed beauty makes it even more special.
5. Pastel romper
Why, oh, why do these not come in grown-up sizes? Imagine how fab they would be at the beach/ supermarket/ local pub? For now anyway, we’ll just have to enjoy these soft cotton beauties from afar.
6. Beachy beanie
If you’re not quite ready to commit fully to tie-dye, this beanie could be great gateway purchase. Warm and practical, it combines an equal measure of hippy cool and laid-back beach vibe. What’s not to love?
7. Hot hoodie
First up, this hoodie has all the practical things you want in a hoodie – a kangaroo pocket, a drawstring hood and generous ribbed cuffs – but then, it also has upped the funk factor – thanks to the tie dye in pumpkin tones. Oh la la!
